This hot spot is home to the only 12-Hole course in NE Florida and features its well named Par 3 "Beer Loop". Not a golfer? Book and throw the party of the year at the Yards Patio Pavilion or pick up the fastest growing sport of Pickleball at the brand-new purple, prestige Pickle Garden.

Mike is a California native who attended Cal State – Long Beach on a golf scholarship. He played professional golf for 10 years, including on the PGA Tour, before getting involved in the business side of golf. Mike left California for the East Coast, specifically to help the owner create and carry out the vision of The Yards.

Ponte Vedra Beach is filled with vibrant, active people that come from amazing and varied backgrounds that all share a mutual love for community and fun.

Zach Vinal
Director of Instruction
Zach celebrated an accomplished junior career, which included 5-time all New York State and 3-time Syracuse District Boys & Junior Player of the Year. He had a decorated Division 1 college career at Binghamton University, including breaking the all-time school scoring record in 2007 & 2008 and was a Cleveland Golf Scholar All American, along with 3 Ping All-Region selections. Zach also was Syracuse District Men's Player of the Year in 2007 & 2008 during this time. From there, he coached Division 1 golf at Long Beach State while achieving a master’s degree in Sports Management in 2009. He started as a Golf/Teaching Professional at Virginia Country Club in 2009 until 2017 in Long Beach, CA. Then became Director of Golf & Instruction at Lakeshore Yacht & Country Club in 2018 until joining The Yards in 2020.

Anna Washington
Director of Sales & Events
Combine a Psychology major with 30 years in hospitality, and you’ll find Anna…a self-driven lover of people, always in pursuit of the happy side of life. Landing in her current role as Director of Sales & Events of one of the coolest, newest entertainment venues in North Florida is not only exciting for Anna, but also wonderfully challenging. Anna could see the vast potential of The Yards even before she joined the team. Now, the key is to let others out in the world know that The Yards is here and ready to have fun! Last but not least, as a self-proclaimed optimist, Anna also finds herself guiding, coaching, and helping her kids (20 and 22) to always strive to see the bright side of life.
WHAT IS A FUN FACT THAT MOST PEOPLE DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU?
I’m an acrylic painter with a knack for painting pet portraits.
Rick Meek
Director of Tennis
Rick started at the Yards in the spring of 2017. He is a certified Head Professional with the Professional Tennis Registry since 1981. Rick has traveled throughout Asia, Canada, and the United States in the 80's conducting certification workshops with the Van Der Meer Tennis University. He was Tennis Director for Van Der Meer Shipyard Racquet Club in Hilton Head, South Carolina, before moving to Jacksonville in 2004.

Director of Pickleball
Maria graduated as a Chemical Engineer of Nanotechnology and spent the next 10 years working on the professional tennis tour, traveling the world with the ATP, WTA, and Grand Slam tournaments, enjoying the life on tour and of professional tennis. Then, she discovered her new passion, pickleball, and has been obsessed ever since!
Living in Sawgrass, Maria traded her hotel and airline miles for a short bike ride to the best workplace, The Yards, and is loving it! Her goldendoodle, Rio, loves it even more.
Real tennis fans will recognize her celebrity husband, who umpired the Wimbledon and U.S. Open finals, among many other big events. He currently works for the ATP Tour in PVB.

Membership Director
After graduating from Florida State University in 2020, Josie moved back home to Jacksonville and began working in the family business of aviation. Ready to explore something new, Josie learned about The Yards’ unique concept and jumped at the opportunity to be a part of its growth. After being promoted to Membership Coordinator in 2021 and then to Membership Director in 2023, she feels grateful to work with some of the most dedicated and dynamic people in the industry who make coming to work so fun. Everyone shares the same passion and vision for The Yards and is committed to building this place out to be one of the hottest places in PVB. Outside of work, Josie enjoys practicing yoga, afternoon beach runs, and chilling out with her chihuahua, Coco.

Tyler English
Head of Golf Operations
Tyler has been involved in sports his entire life, whether he is playing, learning, or teaching. However, basketball has a special place in his heart, as he excelled in college and went on to play a season in England! Upon returning to the states, Tyler played for a semi-professional team in Rochester, New York. While in England, he also earned his master’s degree in Sport Management. Golf only came into his life once the pandemic hit, and basketball was taken away from him. In the summer of 2020, Tyler began working at Oak Hill Country Club, and his passion for golf began to grow. While at Oak Hill, he saw how one of the best courses in the world operated on a day-to-day basis, ran its tournaments, treated their members, and more. Tyler hopes to use his extensive experience with sports combined with his educational background to make The Yards the best golf club in North Florida!
WHAT DO YOU LOVE THE MOST ABOUT THE YARDS?
There's a lot to love about working at The Yards, but what I love the most is the people I work with. It really is a pleasure to come to work every day and work cohesively with people who share my passion for golf!
Victoria Alarcon
Controller
Victoria has a passion for helping others to manage their financial well-being. With a strong background in business administration, customer service, and accounting, Victoria provides The Yards with professionalism, integrity, and responsibility. Originally from Colombia, she came to the US 14 years ago with her two children looking for a better future. While studying at FSCJ, she started working at the formerly known Oak Bridge Club as Golf Shop Attendant. In 2019, Victoria gained her Associate’s Degree of Arts in Accounting Technology, and in 2020 was promoted to Controller.

Avery White
Social Media & Communications Coordinator
Avery has worked in the hospitality and events industry since she was 16 years old. A University of Florida graduate, she has experience in digital marketing, social media management, and event planning. Avery is so grateful for the supportive work environment at The Yards and her coworkers whom she now calls friends. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, DIY projects, weekend getaways, trying new restaurants, and listening to Taylor Swift!
