Meet our Tennis Instructors
Rick Meek
DIRECTOR OF TENNIS
Rick started at the Yards in the spring of 2017. He is a certified Head Professional with the Professional Tennis Registry since 1981. Rick has traveled throughout Asia, Canada, and the United States in the 80's conducting certification workshops with the Van Der Meer Tennis University. He was Tennis Director for Van Der Meer Shipyard Racquet Club in Hilton Head, SC, before moving to Jacksonville in 2004.
Brian Jordan
HEAD PROFESSIONAL
Brian grew up in a small town in South Georgia and fell in love with tennis when he was 7 years old. As a junior, he traveled around the country and competed nationally, finishing his career as one of the top ranked players in the state of Georgia. After attending The University of Georgia, he moved to Jacksonville Beach and completed his PTR Certification in Adult Development. Brian has been teaching tennis at The Yards since 2017. If he's not on the tennis court, he's probably out on the golf course!
Olivia Talbert
HEAD PROFESSIONAL
Olivia grew up playing tennis and got the opportunity to compete in tournaments across the country throughout middle and high school. Her talent and competitive spirit pushed her to join a collegiate team in 2018. After playing four years of tennis at the college level, Olivia graduated from Stetson University in 2022.
